Nthwese Developments, property development and management company founded by Seabelo (Herbert) Theledi, today kicked off a food parcel drive to communities where the company’s shopping mall developments are located.

Starting in Diepsloot near Bambanani Mall on Monday, employees from Nthwese visited the communities to distribute over 1500 food parcels comprising of (mealie meal, rice, sugar, cooking oil, canned beans and tinned fish, etc).

“Enterprise development and investing in local communities is a guiding principle of Nthwese,” says Seabelo (Herbert) Theledi. “The hub of economic activities in all areas where we operate have been severely impacted by Covid-19 regulations. The result is we have scores of people who do not have basic food to feed their families.”

“As business leaders, we cannot stand back and do nothing. Even though financially our Malls have been hard hit by the lockdown, we believe it is our duty to support the communities we serve.”

Nthwese fully funded this initiative as part of their CSI and contribution towards COVID-19 crisis to assist communities during these tough times.

Nthwese employees will be making stops during the week to provide further food parcels to Elukwatini and Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga.
